We provide treatment for adults aged 18 to 65 who are struggling
with mental health disorders.
Mood Disorders:
A mood disorder is a mental health condition that primarily affects your emotional state. They can cause persistent and intense sadness, elation and/or anger. It’s normal for your mood to change, depending on the situation. However, for a mood disorder diagnosis, symptoms must be present for several weeks or longer. Mood disorders can cause changes in your behavior and can affect your ability to perform routine activities, such as work or school. Mood disorders are treatable — usually with a combination of medication and psychotherapy (talk therapy). Two of the most common mood disorders are depression and bipolar disorder.
If you suspect that you are experiencing symptoms of a mood disorder, it is crucial to seek help immediately, as early diagnosis and treatment can lead to better outcomes.
Anxiety Disorders:
Occasional anxiety is a normal part of life. Many people worry about things such as health, money, or family problems. But anxiety disorders involve more than temporary worry or fear. For people with an anxiety disorder, the anxiety does not go away and can get worse over time. The symptoms can interfere with daily activities such as job performance, schoolwork, and relationships.
There are several types of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and various phobia-related disorders.
If you feel that your anxiety is impacting the quality of life you wish to lead, please reach out for assistance.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders:
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a persistent condition characterized by uncontrollable, recurring thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors (compulsions). Individuals with OCD often experience symptoms that are time-consuming, cause significant distress, and can disrupt daily activities. Nevertheless, treatments are available that can help manage symptoms and enhance quality of life. The most commonly prescribed medications for OCD are antidepressants that affect serotonin, a neurotransmitter in the brain associated with both depression and OCD. Adhering to the treatment plan is crucial, as psychotherapy and medications may require time to become effective. While there is no cure for OCD, treatment can assist individuals in managing their symptoms, participating in everyday activities, and leading fulfilling lives. If you feel that OCD is affecting your desired quality of life, it is important to seek help.
